The price for each of our litters varies. Some of our litters are domestic bred some are bred in Germany
What is the difference between
Imported German Shepherd puppies and puppies from Imported German bloodlines?
Imported German Shepherd puppies come directly from Germany. Getting a puppy from Germany gives you wider choice of sires and dams, and if there is a famous stud dog whose blood you are hoping to add to your breeding program, for example, then an imported puppy is the way to go, as most top stud dogs live in Germany.
Getting a German Shepherd puppy born in Canada gives you an opportunity to see the parents of the puppy, and to know how exactly they were raised, but you are still getting a puppy from parents who have the benefits of strict German breeding rules behind them
(most of our breeding dogs are imported directly from Germany).

Can a German Shepherd live in an apartment?
Contrary to common misconception I raised and lived with a German Shepherd in an apartment for 5 years. At times it was tough because no matter rain or shine, or you've got the flu - you still have to take the dog at least for a short walk three times a day. (Ideally, one of the walks should be quite long and give the dog a good energy outlet, such as running free on the beach or in the park, or chasing a Frisbee). My dog didn't mind living in the apartment at all. All she wanted was to be with me. So for a dog an apartment is not a problem, but you have to be dedicated enough to go for a walk three times a day, every day, for as many years as you live there with your dog.
Once I place a deposit, how long will it take before I get the puppy?
It can take anywhere from a couple of days to couple of months. It all depends of each litter.
For Example if you put a deposit on one of the litters that is on our PUPPIES AVAILABLE PAGE then you are probably looking at couple of weeks or even days. If you pick a litter from our Planned Breeding that can take up to few months from the female getting bred, whelping and weaning time.

What if you have six puppies and I'm the sixth person to pay a deposit on a puppy?
Does that mean I get the worst puppy?
Absolutely not!! There really is no "last" person on the list.
Each puppy is carefully chosen for each individual or family by their innate characteristics. Each person will get the puppy that suits his or her
situation the best. So it doesn't matter if you are the first name that comes up or the last, you will get the dog of your dreams!

If I want to pick out my puppy of the litter?
When we can, we will offer you a choice of puppies from the litter, but sometimes it's not possible. From my experience people are often overwhelmed when looking at puppies, and it's not easy for them to make the best choice. We spend so much time with our puppies that We usually can make a very good recommendation on Which is the best puppy for you .......
Pick of the litter...............
Those with some knowledge most likely know that it means "the first pick puppy", it does not however mean the best puppy in the litter for YOU.
What purpose the dog will serve for you and/or your family?
The purpose determines the type of puppy for you and your family
We understands that not every dog is right for every family, AND not every family is right for every dog.
It is BEST if you choose the dog that best compliments your life style.

Should I get a Male or Female German Shepherd Puppy?
This is the question i get asked the most. I have the privilege of owning both genders. With my experience I've found that males are more protective and "territorial" of the home, but females are more protective of the individuals living in the home. Females are more affectionate as well. Some say females are more protective than males and others swear that the males are the protective ones. I believe females are more affectionate towards men and male dogs are more towards women.
Although German shepherds of either sex are wonderful dogs and will make wonderful pets, you should take into consideration all these facts when deciding whether to get a MALE or a FEMALE. If this dog is going to be a second dog, you may want to choose one of the opposite sex of what you already own.
I have found that it is better to look at the individual characters and temperament of each puppy in the litter.
MALES
Larger in size and more masculine in structure.
The size and the masculinity of the male, most often is intimidating to strangers.
German shepherd males are generally more territorial of their location. The making of the territory can be a problem. How-ever, if trained properly, the problem can be controlled.
They will go further to explore their territory when scent of female in heat is near.
FEMALES
Smaller in size and feminine in structure.
The female may be smaller in size, but the size can be of advantage in her working ability.
Female German shepherd have the "pack" instinct.
They will be protective of their family more so then males. The female dog is Ideal for a family, will protect her family (her pack) with a much stronger desire then the male.

I do not plan to show or breed my puppy - can I get a discount?
If the puppy is of show quality, we are more than happy to place him/her in a home where his/her main job is to be a companion and where he/she will be loved and spent a lot of time with his/her family.
However, it does not change the quality of the puppy, and the price remains the same.

My dog already knows sit, stay, etc. He doesn't need to go to school. True or False?
FALSE! Even though your dog may behave for you at home, it does not means he will
listen to you under distraction. Dog classes are a perfect way to train your dog to
ignore distractions and pay attention to you no matter where he is or what is happening
around him.

Your dog should not start classes until he is six months old. True or False?
FALSE! Dogs have the capability of learning almost from the moment they are born. We recommend starting your dog as early as possible after they have had at least two sets of shots (usually about 3 months
of age). That way we can PREVENT problems instead of having to fix them!

Dog classes are more than just solving problems. True or False?
TRUE! Dog classes not only teach your dog alternative behaviours that are suitable for
yourself and your family, but also teach YOU how to be a good leader, partner and
owner. Your dog looks to you for direction. Are you doing a good job for him? Are you
teaching him in a way that is easy for him to understand? Are you looking at things from
a dog's perspective so that you are fair 100% of the time? Do you know what your dog
needs from you? You will learn all this and much more, when you come to class.
Do yourself and your dog a favour, bring him to classes!
